Privacy Protection Now

One way to protect your privacy is to google your name online and see what comes up. When I did this recently I discovered two websites, on the first google page, giving out personal information about me. Mylife.com and familytreenow.com. You can opt out of these sites for free by reading the how-to details at DeleteMe Help Center. You can either call the number, which takes less than 5 minutes, or you can follow the steps to opt out online. Either way, within 10-days your personal information will no longer be on these sites. You can follow the same procedure with any number of other sites that collect data (such as Spokeo, whitepages, and Peoplefinder)  by putting the name into the search box at DeleteMe Help Center.  Sure, if someone really wants to find out about you, they probably will, but at least they’ll have to work a lot harder for it.
